A review, the way it looks in the app
Three things, done properly.
Five Leitner boxes, from one day to a month. Rate a card Easy and it moves up a box; Again sends it back to the first one.
Type a word or phrase and AI fills in the translation, an example sentence and the pronunciation. You can edit all of it before saving.
Works in any browser and installs to your phone’s home screen. Your decks stay in sync, and you can share one with a study partner.
Learn English, German, French or Farsi today — more languages as the app grows.
Three steps to get started
Group vocabulary by topic, chapter or class.
Type the word; AI fills in the rest for you to check.
Echoes picks the cards that are due today.
The things people ask before signing up.
Yes. Echoes is free while it is in beta: no ads, no credit card. AI card generation is rate limited per account so the service stays affordable to run.
English, German, French and Farsi. Translations come back in whichever of those you set as your own language. More languages are planned.
There is nothing to install or configure, and no add-ons to maintain. You type a word and the card is written for you, with an example sentence and pronunciation. Reviews use the same idea — spaced repetition — with a simpler five-box schedule.
Instead of reviewing everything every day, each card sits in a box that decides when you see it next: one day, three days, a week, two weeks, a month. Answer easily and it moves up a box; get it wrong and it starts over. You spend your time on the words you are about to forget.
No. Echoes runs in the browser on a laptop or a phone, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app and works offline for reviewing.
Yes. Any deck can be shared with a link, so a class or a study partner can use the same cards while everyone keeps their own review progress.
Your decks and review history are yours. You can delete your account from the settings page at any time, which removes your data within 30 days. The privacy policy explains what is stored and which services are involved.
